My server alert was developed for doithosting.com to alert them by sms when a server or service would fail so they could fix it immediatly and minimize downtime. This spawned the idea that the entire internet run's on server that experience downtime no matter what the situation.
What is my server alert ?
Our service that we have created is designed to give users peace of mind so they do not have to think about the status of there server. We created a propriatary software that runs on our servers worldwide
and checks to see if not only your server in running and if individual
services are functioning properly. The software runs on our server's and requires no agent or installation on the client end. You simply have a web control panel that you can login into online and enter your server information and contact that needs to be alerted and we take care of the rest. Our servers will probe your website and any given interval to check its status.
Where is my server alert located ?
Our head offices are located in montreal, quebec, canada. Our master server is located at peer1.net montreal and we have several location worldwide on level 3 networks to provide the fastest and most reliable monitoring and alerting services.
Why choose my server alert ?
Our goal here at my server alert is to make create a simple and reliable service that anyone can use. We believe that our protocal IPMP is more efficient than the traditional PING method wich only checks to see if the server respond. Our software can actually probe the indivudual service to see status of it and report back its status. We try and duplicate the end users interactions and also cross check with our other server's in different locations to see if the service works from everywhere worldwide.
